I was so happy to run into Naomi from Teen Vogue on Thursday at the RVCA presentation, who is just the sweetest girl ever and gave me some awesome California girl in New York tips that were most definitely put to use. And to top it off, she invited me over to the Teen Vogue HQ, which is obviously an offer I couldn't turn down.
Colin and I cabbed to Times Square in the rain on Tuesday, felt like complete impostors talking to the people at the Conde Nast front desk, and made it to the right floor only after first taking the wrong elevator (hey there were a lot to choose from). It was a relief to see Naomi's smiling face coming out of those glass doors, and a little surreal to be taking a tour of the offices of one of my favorite magazines in existence. We walked the hallways outside Amy Astley's office, met some fabulously dressed Teen Voguers, and even got to check out the accessories closet in a complete daze as Colin snapped photos of my slack-jawed self. Naomi gently guided us away and we went down to Bryant Park to get some coffee and talk about anything and everything..turns out we both had all kinds of questions to ask each other. All in all an amazing experience - thank you Naomi for being the perfect hostess!Chatting with Andrew Bevan..LOVE this man, he's so much fun. It seems he had just been shot by Altamira NYC in his masterfully rain-appropriate outfit and sweet buckled boots.I made Naomi pose cheesily with me in her gorgeous Alexander Wang dress and DIY necklace.Hmm Colin seemed more apt to document the men's clothes.Heaven.Then we of course had to document each other in Bryant Park. Colin wears a Ralph Lauren blazer, American Apparel V-neck, Gap jeans, secondhand belt, Vans, and Spy sunglasses.Me in vintage Tshirt, collar, and cuff, Erin Wasson x RVCA blazer, Forever 21 skirt, Promiscuous heels, Target socks, Urban Outfitters men's hat, and Givenchy bag.
