With any irons, whether it is a flat or curling iron, I would suggest to always use a heat protectant because these irons can go up to 180 to 410 degrees F. So please use a heat protectant prior to styling so you would not damage your hair. I would recommend the Chi Silk Infusion from Misikko.

WHY I LOVE THIS PRODUCT
I was in desperate need of a new straigtening iron because the previous one, which was a Conair one, just wasn't doing a good enough job. Plus, it was old and really gross, so I really needed a new one. I didn't want to pay more than $100 CAD for one so around 3 weeks ago when I was at Vaughan Mills, I decided to go to Style Sense to see if they have anything. To my surprise, I got this amazing Chrome Iron by Ionika Pro for only....wait for it....$22 CAD! Here's the proof:
Of course I had to grab one of the few that are still there and there were still quite a few left. Honestly, I LOVE Style Sense! It's part of the same company as Home Sense and Winners and of course, their prices are amazing! This iron, on the website, sells for £69.99 / $99.99 USD and I got at Style Sense for around 80% off since it's in CAD. It is also one of their newer products since the entire iron is chrome! It's so beautiful because even the plates are made out of chrome and it's reflective. Overall, the products from Ionika are very, very stylish and hip!
There's a simple on and off button and a little number dial to control the heat setting. Like I said before, this iron can go from 180 to 410 degrees F, which is extremely HOT! I don't think I've ever used it at 410 degrees, most of the time I set it at around 200-300 degrees because my hair is so fine to begin with. It heats up within 30 seconds and stays hot during the entire time as I'm either straightening or curling my hair.
What I really like about this product is that it even comes with a bonus heat proof pouch and and heat mat so the iron won't melt the table or the tiles depending on where you style your hair. If you are like me in that case, the mat prevents the iron from burning the floor! The mat is pink and sparkly, which makes it super cute!
Overall, I love this new straightening iron. I use it on a daily basis either to straighten my hair or to curl it. My hair is actually really soft and silky even after the straightening process. I love it and my old Conair one is no where near as good as this one! Other irons would leave my hair frizzy, but this one keeps it smooth. I would recommend this product to anyone with hair that wants to be straight and hurry to Style Sense to see if this product is still there!
