WHY I LOVE THIS PRODUCT
I remember when I first picked this up a few months ago at one of the MAC Warehouse Sale, I couldn't help but notice how odd the container was. It reminded me a lot of my contact lenses cases, but I guess it make sense because the product features two different kinds of eye cream - one for the day and one for the night.
So I have been using this cream since September of this year (a little over 2 months now) and I must say, it's AMAZING! Ever since the beginning of this school year, I had notice that I started getting really, really dark under-eye circles. I think it was a result of stress, a lack of sleep and not keeping up with a healthy diet. And even as I continued to use my old eye-cream (The Shiseido White Lucent), I saw little results. Thus, I thought it was time for a change or maybe something more "heavy-duty" and it was definitely a right choice.
The day gel is feels light, which is just great for day time because anything else will just feel too creamy and oily. As I applied the day gel under my eyes and on my lids, it gives a slightly cooling and tingly feeling and it melts into the skin instantly. It is also very moisturizing. On the other hand, the night cream is more of a thick consistency. That's very good because it ensures that your eyes will not dry out throughout the night. However, you should make sure that you pat on the product with your ring fingers so that you won't rub or tug on the skin under your eye, which is very sensitive.
The only downside that I can say about this product is the price. On it's website, it's selling for around $40 USD. I was lucky enough to get this at the MAC Warehouse Sale for only $20 CAD, which is such a steal! So this product is not cheap. However, what you pay is what you get. The results are visible after just one month of usage. Plus, a little bit of the product can go a long way. Even after using it daily for the past 2 months, I still have more than 3/4 of the product left.
