[MEDIA COVERAGE] - IMATS EXHIBITOR: OBSESSIVE COMPULSIVE COSMETICS

Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics? What's up with the name?
"The first step is admitting you have a problem," says company founder David Klasfeld, "I did and the result is a line obsessively crafted from the finest ingredients possible, to celebrate the driving compulsions of makeup fanatics everywhere."

What's with the 'Vegan' thing?
In a time when many cosmetic companies make the claim that their products are "Cruelty Free" simply because Animal Testing has become unfashionable and less cost-effective, OCC felt it was necessary to raise the bar on this issue. We pledge never to use animal-derived ingredients (including Lanolin, Beeswax, Carmine and more) in our products and accessories. Beyond any personal convictions, we simply believe that it's unnecessary, especially when there are alternatives that are just as readily available, and equally effective in the formulation of our products. Further, you need not necessarily be aligned with animal rights issues to reap the benefits of a vegan cosmetic line: animal ingredients can be amongst the most allergenic and skin reactive, and prevent makeup from being considered Kosher, Halal or otherwise compliant with various dietary (and sanitary!) regulations.
These 4 things are currently the most popular items right now for OCC. These shades are brand new to the company and are selling out really fast!

What is OCC Lip Tar™? What makes it different?
OCC Lip Tar™ truly is a liquid lipstick! Lip Tar™ goes on with the smoothness and ease of a lipgloss but wears like a comfortable satin finish lipstick. Lip Tar™ is also far and away the most highly-pigmented, longest lasting lip product on the market, and unlike other long-wear lip product, it never feels dry or uncomfortable, due to its substantial botanical emollient content. Refer to the new shades below that are swatched on Joyce's hand.
As you can tell, the colours are really, really pigmented! A really small drop definitely goes a really long way! You have plenty enough time to work the product onto your lips before it dries. Once completely dry, it's practically smudge-proof.
I went home with the new shade of nail polish by OCC. At IMATS, they were selling them for only $5 CAD per bottle. Plus, since the company doesn't ship nail polishes outside of the US, so it gave me more reason to purchase it from the trade-show.

Nail Lacquer
A modern colour palette and formulation to match, OCC's professional quality nail lacquers are densely pigmented, quick-drying and super long lasting. Formulated with the Editorial Manicurist in mind, the result is lots of color using very little product for nails that are camera-ready just moments after the application. Available in Satin, Matte and Metallic texture and both Sheer and Opaque finishes.
The colour Pool Boy is an aquatic blue creme with an opaque and satin finish. With just two coats, you get a really opaque blue that's very true to the colour on the bottle. The application process is nice and smooth. I'm really happy that it doesn't dry darker because the blue is just so pretty! It is one of the most easiest nail polishes I've ever applied. The formula was the perfect consistency and had the perfect brush for effortless application. These nail polishes come highly recommend by me!
