The Calvin Klein Collection show closed down fashion week with all the purity that can always be expected from Francisco Costa. The fact that he cited as an inspiration Carolyn Bessette Kennedy, she of the most beautiful wedding dress and '90s style in general, was almost strange only because isn't that always a given for Calvin? What am I talking about it's actually so nice to hear that whole connection mentioned solidly once in a while. Anyway, Francisco's been at this with Calvin for 9 years because he's obviously the very best with minimalism, which is actually the hardest thing to be the best at because you have to say so much with so little while still pushing boundaries, like, slightly. I find it also becomes very much about the person who's wearing it but if that person does choose to do so, let exposed seam bustiers and what looks like laser-cut leather be involved.
