HOLIKA HOLIKA CANADA PART 2: THE RESPONSE
Mood [Disappointed]
Currently Playing [None]

So after my previous post about my terrible experience with Holika Holika Canada, I finally received an email from the PR person. And this is the content of the email, which I have kindly print screen for your pleasure.
Is it just me or does it not sound very sincere at all? It doesn't sound like she is aware of the seriousness of the issue at hand here. I also find it ridiculous that she is indirectly putting the blame onto the "staff" who is responsible for putting together my review package. If you are the PR person, shouldn't you be looking over this? Shouldn't you instruct the staff to let he/she know what to put into the package and what to exclude? (I never gave them a list of the items that I had wanted to review because Holika Holika Canada simply told me that they were going to sent me a few items) So did you just HAPPEN to OVERLOOK when the stuff put USED products in my package? AND when the staff is CHANGING out the packaging and the original sponge for the compact and replacing it with another one? I find it REALLY hard to believe that the PR is unaware of what is going on!

Also, giving me NEW products is NOT going to fix the problem here! The real problem is the fact that the company has terrible PR services and relationships with local bloggers! From the comments that I have been receiving from a lot of readers, it seems like they have bad customer service as well at the actual store location! Thus, I don't WANT anymore products from your company! Once you break my trust, it's hard to gain it back! (I can't be bought with money or products!) If I want to try Holika Holika products, I will buy it from another company! Definitely will not be from you! So why would you even OFFER to give me new products?

Disappointed AGAIN! PS, I will NOT be giving the company an email reply, but instead I'll direct them to this post! :) They are not worth my time!

On another note, Holika Holika Malaysia has kinda replied to my post on their Facebook page. I'll have to wait and see what they mean by "necessary action"!

EDIT: February 1st, 2013:
I really have lost track of how many strikes this has been for Holika Holika Canada, but GUESS WHAT! They managed to DISAPPOINT me again!! Is that even possible after all that they have done? Well, YES IT IS! Let me show you what I mean:

1) The way that Karen treated my fellow blogger and friend, Joyce. You can read all about it on her blog but pretty much Karen, the PR, forgot that Joyce and I are friends and that it was her who introduced me to the company in the first place. THEN, after MONTHS of not replying to Joyce or sending her the review package, OUT OF NO WHERE (hmmm, I wonder why...) she contacts Joyce and ask her what products she would like to try out for review purposes! Sorry, you can't TREAT other bloggers like they are sloppy seconds! This is what I wrote on twitter: (Photo taken from Joyce's blog)

2) The way that Holika Holika Canada replied to my email:
Hmmmmm, of course this is my own decision! And why do I HAVE to contact you? I don't HAVE to do anything! As a professional PR, you should make sure that the products that is sent out for review purposes are NOT USED! I really can't see how difficult this is! It's not like the store at Pacific Mall is HUGE for her to say that she had no idea what is going on! (For those who are unfamiliar with Pacific Mall, each store is pretty much a size of a bedroom, not very big because its an "Asian" mall in the GTA). And even if I had to respond to you earlier, (I mention why I didn't in my previous post), I'm not going to COVER this up for you! If that's how I've experienced the service/product with your company, then I'm going to say the TRUTH on my blog! Please don't expect me to cover this up for you.
