Currently Playing [Christina Perri - A Thousand Years]
First a foremost, I was unable to attend the Almay media event a while back, so Rica was nice (and a sweet heart) enough to pick up some goodies for me! Thank you so much Rica and Almay Canada! :)

WHY I LIKE THIS PRODUCT
I've always think that Almay is probably one of the most underrated drugstore brand out there. (Remember I mention them to be my underdog product in my "I HEART Drugstore Makeup Tag" here?) But anyways, I have been really enjoying these fusion of lip balm and lip gloss that Almay has introduced recently. First, let's talk about the price. They retail for around $8-$9 CAD depending on where you go to get them. I do find that to be on the higher end of lip products that are available on the drugstore market. Second, it comes in a tube and a sponge applicator, which makes it feel more like a lip gloss rather than a lip balm.
When I first swatched the product, I was a little shocked at how pigmented the gloss look on my hand. But it's a different story once applied on my lips. It's lighter than a traditional lip gloss, which I really like because it doesn't make your lip flake. It does have a sticky feeling to it, which it's not supposed to if it's to be a balm. The texture is very thick, however, it stays evenly distributed on my lips. They are without a doubt more moisturizing than a lip gloss that I've tried.
Rosy Lipped - A very nude colour that barely shows on my lips. I would consider this one of those "your lips but better" shades.
Cantaloupe Cream - This is a creamy medium peach colour. This is such a fun colour for the summer!
Lilac Love - My favourite shade out of the 3 just because it's the most pigmented. It's a medium purple colour with a bit of shimmer in it.
Overall, if you are looking for a light and moisturizing lipgloss, then this is going to be perfect for you. I just really wish that the colours would be more vibrant or pigmented on my lips. This is one of those products that isn't bad but I'm not completely taken away from it. Almay has a lot of competitors on the market right now with the fusion between lipgloss/lipstick/lip balm products that it's going to be very hard to stand out.
